I am Shannon Bu, a Culinary Arts Management student at the University of West London, currently in my second year (Level 5) and will graduate in 2026.
Alongside my studies, I work as a chef at Dawn’s Gardens Chinese Takeaway, gaining valuable hands-on experience in a fast-paced kitchen environment.
In 2024, I had the privilege of participating in several prestigious culinary events that shaped my skills and knowledge. These include serving canapés and managing service at the Chaîne des Rôtisseurs Annual Presentation at The Savoy, crafting a veal starter under the guidance of Martyn Nail at a Royal Automobile Club fundraiser, and attending the Roux Scholarship 40th Anniversary at The Dorchester.
As a Malaysian student studying in London, I aspire to combine diverse cultural influences and innovation to help the world eat healthier through creative food solutions.
